I’d rather stay in my room for three days than doing chores. Who likes doing chores any way? Sometimes I just want to pretend I’m sick or procrastinate, by saying “One minute, one minute”. Another thing I may do to get out of my chores is hire my sister to do them. Or, you could either throw away the cleaning supplies in the middle of the night, or arrange for a friend to pick you up while everybody is still sleeping and drop you off late at night. But today I just got them done, and in the end they weren’t that bad.

Chores can definitely get in the way of having a good time and these are all very creative ways of shirking responsibleness. That said, the sooner they get done, the sooner the fun can be had. Unfortunately, chores are just part of life and we all have them. Luckily ours are on a boat and not cleaning out stables!!!!

If you only have fun without chores, called responsibilities, then even the fun eventually becomes a chore. It's all about attitude. By taking pride in everything (including chores) you do, you will get satisfaction which will bring you pleasure, a kind of "fun".
